    Quality Assurance Controller

    The job incumbent works to establish procedures and quality standards; and to monitor these against agreed targets in accordance to Company and regulatory standards; and customer specifications

    Main Accountabilities:

    • Assess customer requirements and ensure that these are met
    • Specify quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers
    • Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
    • Develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
    • Maintain and improve product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits; investigating customer complaints; collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and production and training methods.
    • Prepare quality documentation and report by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
    • Develop and  foster  further development and documentation of Quality Management systems, Quality Management- goals, alerts and audits plans as well as inspection sections in agreement with the corresponding expert departments
    • Give instruction to staff from operational areas for quality test engineering and to carry out routine inspections for securing quality and to carry out hygiene briefing
    • To implement and ensure adherence to the  Company’s “Standard Operation Procedures” for the need of the company
    • Analyze complaints (such as catering reports/FACs) for the elimination of failures as well as, if necessary, introducing measures
    • To ensure work up and maintenance of all relevant documentation for the development of cleaning plans and operational requirements for cleaning/ disinfections/ pest control in the company areas.
    • To coordinate and to support implementation of Corrective Actions Management

    Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum of a Diploma in Industrial Chemistry, Food Science or its equivalent
    • 3 years cognate work experience in a fully serviced hotel or restaurant; and a minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
    • Experience in inflight catering is very desirable
    • Knowledge of food chemistry is required
    • Good understanding of food and hygiene regulations is mandatory
    • Excellent communication skills and customer orientation
