QA/QC Consultant at SpaceFinish Africa

• We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Consultant with a proven background in large-scale construction and interior fit-out projects. The role is responsible for establishing, auditing, and enforcing quality management systems that ensure all projects meet international standards, client specifications, and company benchmarks for excellence.
• This consultant will partner with our design, project management, and site teams to implement robust QA/QC frameworks, conduct compliance audits, and drive continuous improvement across all active and future projects.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality Management System (QMS):

• Develop and enforce QA/QC policies, procedures, and manuals for construction and fit-out projects.
• Ensure alignment with ISO 9001:2015 and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Audits & Compliance:

• Conduct routine audits on materials, workmanship, and site processes.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
• Identify non-conformance, implement corrective actions, and track closure.

Project Oversight:

• Supervise quality control processes during all project phases (design review, procurement, fit-out, commissioning).
• Validate test reports, inspection reports, and certifications from subcontractors and vendors.
• Enforce mock-ups, samples, and first-off approvals before mass implementation.

Continuous Improvement:

• Train internal teams and subcontractors on quality standards.
• Introduce lean and efficient processes that reduce rework, delays, and cost overruns.
• Lead root cause analysis for recurring defects or failures.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

• Act as the quality assurance representative in client and consultant meetings.
• Provide transparency and documentation that instills client confidence in project delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum Auditor Level 2 certification.
• Certified in ISO 9001:2015 and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
• Minimum 10 years QA/QC experience in construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Proven track record with Tier-1 companies such as ITB, El-Alan, Julius Berger (JB), or Cappa & D’Alberto.
• Strong technical knowledge in civil works, finishes, MEP integration, and interior joinery.
• Exceptional documentation, reporting, and communication skills.
