Purchasing Officer at Fadac Resources

Our client is one of Africa’s largest economies and continues to cement its Group’s position as one of the leading and most diversified consumer brand builders in the country. Due to expansion, they need a PURCHASING OFFICER.

LOCATION: LFZ, Lagos.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct product research and source new suppliers and vendors.
• Source for materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.
• Perform inventory inspections and reorder supplies and stock as necessary.
• Coordinate with the delivery team and follow up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled.
• Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers.
• Review the quality of purchased products.
• Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
• Manage records of all orders, payments, and business stock.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role in the FMCG industry.
• Experience with purchasing software.
• The ability to identify market trends and make decisions in a high-stress environment.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors)
• Negotiation skills​
