The Protection Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and dignity of vulnerable individuals, including women, children, and persons with disabilities. The role includes providing psychosocial support and ensuring adherence to protection standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct protection assessments and identify vulnerable individuals.
Develop and implement protection strategies in line with YPHO’s framework.
Provide case management services, including referrals for GBV and child protection.
Coordinate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure integrated protection services.
Train and supervise community-based protection volunteers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in social work, law, or psychology.
3+ years of experience in protection, preferably in a humanitarian context.
Familiarity with child protection, GBV, and psychosocial support frameworks.
