    Project Officer - Climate Action

    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the design and execution of climate action projects, including bootcamps, school programmes, and community initiatives.
    • Coordinate project activities, timelines, and deliverables in line with approved workplans.
    • Engage schools, youth groups, and communities to promote climate awareness and sustainable practices.
    • Collect project data, document outcomes, and prepare narrative and activity reports.
    • Support monitoring frameworks to assess project impact and learning.
    • Maintain organised project documentation and records.
    • Liaise with partners, schools, environmental organisations, and community stakeholders.
    • Support public engagements, campaigns, and advocacy activities related to climate action.
    • Coordinate logistics for training, workshops, field activities, and community Engagements.
    • Support procurement, budgeting inputs, and compliance with organisational policies.

    Required Qualifications and Skills

    • A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field is preferred.
    • 4–6 years of experience in project implementation, climate programming, environmental advocacy, or development work.
    • Experience working with youth, schools, or community-based projects is an advantage.
    • Strong project coordination and organisational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to manage timelines, documentation, and multiple stakeholders.
    • An understanding of climate change, sustainability, or environmental education is desirable.
    • Committed to community development and sustainability.
