Lead and manage all phases of brownfield or greenfield development project—from FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) through to commissioning and handover.
Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans in alignment with strategic objectives.
Coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), HSE, subsurface, drilling, and external contractors.
Implement robust project governance and control frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations.
Oversee contract management activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and performance monitoring.
Requirements
Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical) or a related technical discipline. A Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA) is an added advantage.
A minimum of 15 years of progressive project management experience in upstream oil & gas, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity on major capital or greenfield development projects.
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®, APM, or equivalent).
Membership in professional bodies such as the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), COREN, or international equivalents is desirable.
Demonstrable knowledge of oilfield development lifecycle (Concepts, FEED, EPC, Commissioning and Sartup).
Strong understanding of project controls, cost engineering, scheduling tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
Competency in reading and interpreting engineering and construction drawings and specifications.
Familiarity with Nigerian oil & gas regulatory landscape (e.g., NUPRC/DPR standards and local content laws).
