Set up accounts/files to meet reporting requirements of donors on project.
Produce periodic financial statements on projects.
Monitor and follow-up on receivables from donors.
Advise Project leads on financial status of Projects.
Participates in annual budget development for projects.
Acts as the main contact person for investigating and responding to queries from donors.
Preparation of receivables schedules and determination of year-end provision for Audited Financial Statements.
Monitoring and reporting on payments/justification to NARS.
Coordinating closing of monthly accounts on oracle, setting up and closing of periods in the oracle system.
Backstopping of Institute Stations’ Administrators/Finance Officers on both financial and donor related issues.
Liaise with Contracts & Grants Officer, Project Coordinators and Scientists on project-related issues.
Advising top Management on financial requirements/budgeting on contractual agreements with donors.
Responsible for ensuring adequate recovery of overhead on projects for the Institute as well as 2% CSP recovery for the CG.
Responsible for full implementation of RSS and time cost recovery on Projects.
Supporting the Accounts Receivable Module of Oracle.
Supervises special project audit in ensuring compliance with donors’ requirements and best practices.
Signing of Cheques and making on-line payments.
Resource Person during Station Administrator & Accountants` meeting and Induction of new Staff.
Member of the Program Finance community of Practice of the CG centres.
Member of the Extended Management team that advises the Management on Project Execution and Sustainability.
Serve as Finance Directorate Training Coordinator.
Monthly review of NRS Payroll and IRS payroll.
Perform any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION:
Masters in Accounting, Finance or related field with a minimum of fourteen (14) years’ experience in a well-structured environment or donor funded organization. Possession of ACA, ACCA or ACMA is compulsory.

Have vast and strong knowledge of many accounting software, Oracle EBS will be a distinct advantage.
Be very good with figures and must possess good communication skills.
