Job Summary

• The Project Engineer Intern supports the engineering team in planning, coordinating, and managing various engineering projects.
• This hands-on role provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering principles, project management, and hands-on industrial construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering designs, drawings, specifications and BOQs
• Support the development and review of project documentation such as blueprints, CAD models, and technical reports.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
• Monitor project progress, manage site workers and prepare updates for stakeholders.
• Conduct inspections, tests, or evaluations on project deliverables to ensure compliance with standards.
• Support the preparation of risk assessments and quality reports.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to project performance.
• Prepare and present technical and project status reports.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Attend team meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

Requirements

• Currently an NYSC candidate posted to Lagos
• Can easily commute to and from Ikeja
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Prior experience in industrial procurement and construction is a plus
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, or equivalent) is a plus
• Basic knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is a plus.
