Project Accountant at Fort Knox Group

Salary: 700,000 Monthly Gross

Reports To: Finance Manager / General Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Cost Management

• Maintain accurate financial records for all construction and renovation projects.
• Monitor project budgets, expenses, and cost performance.
• Track payments to contractors, artisans, suppliers, and vendors.
• Review invoices, purchase requests, payment documents, and supporting records.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare project cost reports and financial updates for management review.
• Reconcile project expenses and vendor accounts.
• Support project managers with financial analysis and cost information.
• Monitor material procurement costs and project expenditure.
• Identify cost variances and escalate financial risks.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain proper documentation of all project transactions.
• Support internal audits and financial reviews.
• Ensure compliance with company financial procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage job cost accounting for multiple active construction projects.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor\'s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is required.
• 3–7 years\' experience in construction/project accounting.
• Strong understanding of construction costing, procurement processes, and project expenditure tracking.
• Ability to work closely with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, and Site Teams.
• Strong Excel and accounting software skills.
• High level of accuracy, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, progress billing, retainage, and change orders.
