    Program Intern

    Responsibilities:

    • Assist in the development and implementation of REAN’s programs and activities.
    • Conduct research and prepare reports on renewable energy trends, policies, market dynamics, business models, local and international best practices.
    • Support the organization in coordinating meetings, workshops, conferences, and other events.
    • Prepare communication materials including concept notes, advocacy position papers, industry reports, policy briefs and memos, newsletters, and social media content.
    • Engage with stakeholders including government MDAs, development partners, private-sector organizations, philanthropies, foundations, and civil society to support program objectives.
    • Perform administrative duties as required to support program activities.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Renewable Energy, Public Policy, Sustainable Development, Environmental Science, Energy Governance, or related fields. A master’s degree will be an added advantage.
    • Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in program development and implementation with a think-tank, research institute, or non-profit organization.

    Competencies and Skills:

    • Strong interest in, familiarity with, or adept knowledge of renewable energy and sustainable development.
    • Excellent research, analytical, and report-writing skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of the renewable energy landscape in Nigeria is highly desirable.

    Internship Commitment:

    • Interested candidates must be willing to commit to a minimum of 6 months – 1 year with the possibility of conversion into a core staff based on performance and organizational needs.
