Job Summary 

• The Professional Carpenter is responsible for the precise construction, assembly, and installation of high-quality furniture and wooden structures.
• The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret drawings to deliver bespoke and standard furniture products to company specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and wood-based materials accurately.
• Construct furniture carcasses, frames, cabinetry, and bespoke joinery items.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, layouts, and specifications.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and design requirements.
• Repair, adjust, or refurbish wooden furniture and fittings when required.
• Work closely with designers, upholsterers, and production teams to ensure seamless output.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times.

Skills and Requirements

• Proven experience as a professional carpenter, preferably within a furniture or interiors company.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and finishes.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks within deadlines.
• High level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with bespoke or luxury furniture production.
• Knowledge of CNC or advanced woodworking machinery.
• Qualification or apprenticeship in Carpentry or Joinery.

Working Conditions:
