Production Shift Supervisor at GBfoods

Responsibilities

• Receive job order for the day’s process operation from the Production Manager
• Ensure that daily targets are met to meet up with monthly production targets
• As SAP KEY – USER ensure that the appropriate materials requisitions are made and issued through SAP and proper posting of daily Production, Stock level monitoring and COGI resolution
• Ensures the stock of raw and packaging materials are monitored daily to avert outages or wastages
• Ensure the weight of the products are checked periodically for accuracy
• Strict compliance to production process steps
• Strict compliance to process SOPs
• Ensure 5s is maintained at the beginning, during and close of Production
• Liaise with Quality Assurance to ensure quality standard of raw and packaging materials supplied
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality product always
• Ensures equipment always operates at the right OEE
• Ensures all breakdowns are analyzed effectively to avert re-occurrence
• Follow-up with Engineering for the availability of critical spares
• Ensure quick response time from maintenance team on faulty machines
• Ensures equipment are properly maintained in accordance with the maintenance plans
• Ensure accurate stacking and dispatch of FG to FG/STORES department
• Ensure strict compliance with GMP and HSE practices
• Participate actively in the Accident Prevention Program by ensuring and creating high safety awareness towards people and providing solutions to defectives equipment’s in the areas of responsibility
• Prepare the daily, weekly & monthly department report
• Organize daily production meeting to discuss and find solution to issues affecting operation
• Liaise with regulatory agencies to meet statutory requirements
• Ensure good staff organization in the plant
• Determine needs, oversee assignment of employees, and recommend development programs
• Develop and implement initiatives to build and enhance team capability
• Constructively interact with other units for achieving company’s goals
• Perform any other related task assigned by Production Manager

Requirements
Educational Qualification:

• HND/BSc in operations/production management or equivalent; relevant professional certification is a plus or a related discipline.

Experience:

• Seven years’ progressive work experience in supervisory roles in culinary, food/beverage processing within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Industry specific supervisory experience is highly desired
• Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP

Technical Knowledge;
Strong understanding of:

• Root-cause analysis
• HACCP, GMPs, Organic Handling Procedures, Food Plant Safety, packaging materials operations and function
• Statistical Process Control & Process Improvement
• Resource management (people, materials, and costs)
• Proficiency in SAP & MS Office.
