This is a full-time, on-site Production Manager role based in Abeokuta.
The Production Manager will oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include planning and organizing production schedules, allocating resources, supervising production staff, and monitoring equipment performance.
The role involves implementing and maintaining Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), driving continuous improvement initiatives, and coordinating closely with quality assurance, R&D, supply chain, and maintenance teams.
The Production Manager will also prepare production reports, manage inventory of raw materials and finished products, support audits and inspections, and foster a culture of safety, collaboration, and accountability on the production floor.
Qualifications
Strong production planning, scheduling, and workflow management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated experience in supervising manufacturing teams, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance feedback.
Solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP, quality control principles, and relevant regulatory standards.
Competence in using production management tools, basic data analysis, and reporting to track efficiency, yield, and downtime.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong commitment to workplace safety, with experience implementing and enforcing safety procedures and training.
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Production Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
Previous experience in pharmaceutical, agro-pharmaceutical, or related process manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
Ability to work on-site in Abeokuta, demonstrate reliability, and adapt to a fast-paced, target-driven production setting.
