Production Manager at Erisco Foods Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and proactive Production Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Kano.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining quality standards, supervising production staff, and optimizing manufacturing performance in line with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee the daily operations of the production unit.
• Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, cost, and timeline.
• Develop and implement production schedules and workflows.
• Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure product standards and hygiene are maintained.
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for production.
• Supervise and motivate production staff, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.
• Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal equipment downtime.
• Prepare and manage production budgets and resource allocation.

Requirements

• B.Sc. / HND in Food Science & Technology, Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a production management role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
• Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of quality control, health, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to manage production targets and optimize output.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management software.
