Production Lead for Lubricant Plants.

We are looking for a production lead to be responsible for setting and achieving daily production goals for lubricant plants. A production leader will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the production of lubricants ensuring Lubricants are manufactured to product standards, continuously monitor of all equipment attached to the unit to minimize down time, and oversee the transfers in and out of finished bulk.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of communication with the Production Manager, keeping them apprised of any changes or concerns that may arise
• Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness throughout the production process
• Lead and motivate team members to achieve daily production goals while maintaining quality standards
• Monitor individual and team performance, providing feedback and coaching as needed
• Ensure all safety protocols are being followed and take corrective action when necessary
• Serve as a resource for team members, answering questions and offering assistance as needed
• Escalate issues to the Production Manager as needed
• Help to resolve conflicts within the team
• Help to train new team members
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
• Perform quality control checks on products before they leave the facility
• Maintain a clean and organized work area

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, or related field.
• 10+ year experience in a production leadership role.
• Proven track record of increasing productivity and efficiency while reducing costs.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
