Product Development Lead at Arridex Limited

Overview

• We are seeking a senior Product Development Lead to own the product vision, roadmap, and commercial logic for a portfolio of advanced technology platforms.
• This is a leadership role sitting at the intersection of customer reality, engineering capability, and business strategy.
• The successful candidate will define what gets built, why it gets built, and how it reaches the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and defend the product roadmap across multiple hardware platform programmes
• Conduct direct discovery with end users and key stakeholders in target sectors to establish and maintain customer truth
• Make prioritisation and build-versus-defer decisions in a resource-constrained, fast-moving development environment
• Own the commercial logic of each product: target buyer, value proposition, pricing structure, and margin expectations
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable engineering briefs and programme milestones
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept through to handoff for scale production
• Represent the organisation credibly in technical, commercial, and government stakeholder engagements

Requirements

• Demonstrable track record in senior product leadership for complex hardware, defence, or dual-use technology systems
• Fluency across engineering fundamentals, manufacturing economics, and go-to-market strategy
• Direct experience engaging with government, military, or critical infrastructure buyers
• Strong grasp of cost structures, throughput trade-offs, and the economics of hardware at scale
• Ability to command credibility in both technical engineering reviews and C-suite or procurement conversations
• Nigerian nationals strongly preferred; candidates with relevant West African market knowledge are at an advantage

Preferred Background:

• Background in maritime, defence, or industrial technology sectors
• Experience managing products through Nigerian or West African government procurement processes
• Exposure to additive manufacturing or advanced manufacturing-led product development
