Product Designer at Zap Africa

With a project like Zap Exchange, we're aiming to set new benchmarks and redefine the boundaries of innovation. We're looking to add a talented Product Designer to our design team to accelerate our mission and increase our efficiency.

What you’ll do:

• Design Strategy & Vision: Understand the broader business strategy to create intuitive and efficient user experiences for our suite of products.
• User-Centered Design: Develop and refine user personas, conduct user research, and translate findings into stunning visual designs.
• Prototyping: Create wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for Zap Exchange and other upcoming projects.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to bring designs to life, ensuring design vision is realized in the final product.
• Design Systems: Develop and maintain a cohesive design language and UI/UX guidelines across all Zap products.
• Marketing Content Deliverables:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to design compelling visuals for ad campaigns, social media, and promotional materials.
• Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials, from web banners to email templates and digital brochures.
• Translate complex technical concepts into visually engaging infographics and illustrations for broader audience comprehension.
• Feedback & Iteration: Regularly review and iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and business goals.
• Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest trends and tools in the design and tech industry, ensuring Zap remains at the cutting edge of design innovation.

What we seek:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ Years solid experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing your skills and design thinking.
• Proficient with design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Strong understanding of user-centric design principles, UX trends, and methodologies.
• Experience in designing for blockchain and AI platforms is a plus.
