We are seeking a talented and motivated Product (UI/UX) Designer Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product development, design, and innovation within our organisation. As a Product Design Intern, you will work closely with our product design team to support the creation of innovative products, user interfaces, and brand concepts. This role provides exposure to real-world product design processes and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the creation of visually appealing designs, incorporating colors, typography, and graphics that align with product aesthetics, brand guidelines, market trends, and user needs.
Apply user-centered design principles by understanding user needs, conducting research, and identifying user pain points to help create intuitive product experiences.
Assist in developing sketches, wireframes, mock-ups, and interactive prototypes under the guidance of experienced designers.
Support the development and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and UI components to ensure design consistency across products and platforms.
Participate in brainstorming sessions, idea generation, and concept development alongside product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Support usability testing initiatives by gathering user feedback and contributing to iterative design improvements.
Stay informed about industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies to bring fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
Work within an Agile development environment, supporting the timely delivery of design assets for the development process.
Qualifications and Skills:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or a related field.
Strong creative and conceptual thinking skills with a passion for design and innovation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Detail-oriented with a strong eye for aesthetics and design quality.
A growing portfolio demonstrating your design process, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in design and research tools such as Figma, FigJam, and Miro.
Understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
Strong visual design skills with attention to detail and a desire to create compelling interfaces.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
