Product Delivery Manager at Flutterwave

The Role: 

Flutterwave is seeking a seasoned Product Delivery Manager with extensive experience in managing complex, cross-functional programs and driving Agile transformation within the financial services and fintech industries. This role combines strategic program management with hands-on Agile coaching to deliver high-quality products and foster a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have the skills to manage multiple initiatives, guide teams toward Agile excellence, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Program Management

• Define and oversee the successful execution of multiple, large-scale initiatives across the organization.
• Develop and maintain program plans, schedules, and milestones, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
• Align program objectives with organizational strategy and business goals, ensuring a strong focus on customer value and ROI.
• Identify and manage interdependencies across programs, resolving conflicts and ensuring seamless integration of deliverables.
• Lead program governance, risk management, and stakeholder reporting, providing transparency into progress and challenges.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration among engineering, product, compliance, and business teams to ensure successful delivery.

Agile Leadership and Coaching

• Champion Agile principles and practices across teams, promoting a mindset of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a Team Coach, mentoring Product Owners, and team members to improve Agile maturity.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies (Daily Stand-Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, etc.) and ensure they add value to the team.
• Drive the adoption of scaled Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe, LeSS) where appropriate, ensuring alignment across multiple teams.
• Develop training programs and workshops to build Agile competency at all levels of the organization.
• Identify and address impediments to Agile adoption and delivery.
• Guide teams in defining and maintaining robust Definitions of Ready (DoR) and Definitions of Done (DoD).
• Foster a collaborative environment where teams feel empowered to innovate and excel.
• Coach team members to enhance their technical and interpersonal skills.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

• Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication about progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Lead stakeholder alignment sessions to define priorities and resolve conflicts across programs.
• Provide regular updates to executive leadership through dashboards, reports, and presentations.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.

Ensure personal information of customers, employees, and other individuals the company conducts business with is processed and protected in line with applicable data privacy policies, privacy laws, and global best practices.

Required competency and skillset to be a waver

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in program management, product delivery, or Agile coaching roles with a significant portion of that experience in the Fintech or financial services sector.
• Strong expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and program management.
• Proven track record of delivering complex initiatives in the financial services or fintech sectors.
• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency in Agile and program management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), PSM or equivalent Agile certifications.
• Experience in fintech products like payment platforms, digital banking, or investment solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
