    Procurement Officer

    JOB SUMMARY

    • Responsible for managing and coordinating the procurement process of the organization and ensuring high quality and best price for purchase of products and services; provide guidance and support to ensure procurement processes are effective and efficient.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Procurement of technical tools & materials, office equipment and general items in line with proper specifications and internal procedures ensuring best price and quality.
    • Preparation of a comprehensive and categorized vendor/contractor, suppliers, etc., database for the approval of management.
    • Maintain accurate records containing relevant information about all vendors and suppliers on the Approved Vendors List.
    • Carry out frequent market survey with an objective of developing accurate, official price list and a periodic update of same.
    • Ensure all intending vendors go through the approved registration process; review their applications and evaluate them in line with company-approved criteria
    • Create, maintain and constantly update material price databank for frequently purchased materials.
    • Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQ), Request for Prices (RFP), Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) etc. after securing necessary approvals.
    • Engage in the coalition of records of all procurement activities in line with the tenets of ISO 9001-2015 (Quality Management Systems)
    • Develop and submit monthly procurement reports
    • Review, vet and analyze all LPOs and quotations received. Present analysis to management for final purchasing decision.
    • Develop and maintain good relationship with suppliers and vendors.
    • Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • B.Sc. in an Engineering field with minimum 5 years’ Supply Chain Management experience in Pipeline Maintenance and Construction in the Oil and Gas Industry
    • Membership of CIPSMN required
    • Experience in demand forecasting, supply planning and management
    • Good communication and analytical purchasing skills
    • Good negotiation skills
    • Ability to build strong relationships with vendors
    • Strong planning and reporting skills
    • Able to work under pressure and multi-task
    • Able to keep accurate records
    • Intermediate level on MS Word and Excel. Able to navigate Odoo ERP or similar ERP system.
