Procurement Officer at Starsight Energy

Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhering and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
• Purchase goods or services that meet the quantity and quality expectations of the organization
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
• Reviewing, comparing, and analysing products and services to be purchased
• Compare available goods with industry trends to determine appropriate pricing
• Review and analyse all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
• Stay up to date on industry trends and new products
• Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers
• Work with team members and department head to complete duties as may be required

Requirement

• Degree in Accounting, Business management or a similar field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Procurement
•  Strong work ethics and time management skills
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Excellent team player with the ability to work with a team to meet the corporate objectives of the organisation
• A confident professional who can work using their own initiative, implanting ideas to reduce cost and improve efficiency
• Good in Microsoft Office and purchasing software
• Analytical and inquisitive mind
