Procurement Officer at Proten

Job Summary:

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement process within the Agro Allied company. This includes identifying, sourcing, and purchasing goods and services for the company, as well as negotiating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify procurement needs for the Agro Allied company and develop procurement plans and strategies.
• Source and identify potential suppliers of goods and services required by the company, evaluate supplier offers and negotiate contracts and pricing.
• Manage procurement processes, including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure that all procurement processes are carried out in accordance with the company's procurement policies and procedures.
• Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to the company, and resolve any delivery issues.
• Ensure that all purchased goods and services meet quality and specification requirements.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including regular communication and supplier performance evaluations.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained to support production and minimize inventory holding costs.
• Monitor and report procurement performance metrics to management.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in an Agro Allied company.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to work with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and ability to develop procurement plans and strategies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results and customer service.
