Procurement Officer at HR-EX Consulting

Job Description:

• Draw strategic plan to identify and connect with key profitable pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers to initiate business and organization partnerships.
• Ensures company obtains quality products for competitive prices in a timely fashion by actively working to develop strategy to identify and remove operation bottleneck.
• Play an integral role in ensuring a company sticks to budgets and operates profitably. Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services on Just in Time basis and finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
• Monitor business trends and product availability to pay the best price for company goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times
• Nurtures relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best prices for company and sustainably entrenching stake and profitability
• Identifies and researches potential new suppliers within and outside Nigeria to source for products and strike new deals that guarantees company’s growth.
• Researches new products and services and advise on the next step of action to meet company's goals and to ensure business lead with competition to business advantage
• Carry out periodic assessment of product needs; tracking and reporting key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness while collaborating with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Work with and oversee a team of FC manager, logistics, data entry, and retail outlet managers to ensure a comprehensive procurement operation for quick and free workflow to expectations
• Reports to the FC Manager and shall participate in a strong company culture of periodic management planning/strategy meeting; with daily, weekly and monthly reporting practice to ensure high productivity and quality delivery on task.

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager or Procurement Officer in the pharmaceutical industry with strong project management, and enterprise resource planning skills.
• Must have deep contact with pharmaceutical manufacturers and importers
• Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software; Apt with working with numbers with strong experience in collecting and analyzing data
• Must demonstrate specialized industry knowledge in inventory and supply chain management
• Superior negotiation, logistic operations and financial analysis skills
• Must be a people person with networking and excellent communication skills
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Applied Science, or in Related Field.

Experience: 4+ years of cognate experience
