Procurement Officer at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Summary

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, production consumables, spare parts, machinery, packaging materials, office supplies, and services. The role ensures timely, cost-effective procurement, supplier management, inventory support, compliance with procurement policies, and uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement activities based on production requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and manage local and international suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, and process purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier performance and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Support inventory management to prevent stock shortages and overstocking.
• Ensure purchased materials meet quality standards and company specifications.
• Maintain procurement records, prepare reports, and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Finance, QA, and Stores to support operational needs.
• Comply with HSSE policies and ethical procurement practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor\'s Degree or HND in Purchasing & Supply, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years\' procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience sourcing engineering spare parts and industrial materials is an advantage.
• Knowledge of ERP procurement systems, inventory management, contract negotiation, and Microsoft Office.
• Professional certification (CIPSMN or CIPS) is an added advantage.
