Procurement Officer at a Construction Company

The Procurement Officer Must have a Construction Industry experience and is responsible for:

• Estimate and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases
• Create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
• Make professional decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and other important data
• Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
• Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies
• Negotiate the best deal for pricing and supply contracts
• Ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
• Maintain and update list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
• Assist in creating project databases and entering information on new projects costs and completed projects costs
• Following up on all projects, ensuring that all costs have been applied appropriately
• Assist in ordering of parts and materials in collaboration with project managers
• Reviewing contracts and conditions for on-site contract staff in collaboration with the office manager and site coordinator
• Liaising with the Operations Manager to review project schedules, determine priorities in conjunction with the project managers, investigate and analyse schedule impacts and recommending actions to be taken to mitigate/avoid schedule conflicts and delays.
