Procurement Lead at Ruff n Tumble

1. Manage supply chain buying unit relationship with other subunits

• Responsible for supporting the head category manager in executing buying plans and strategy.
• Responsible for supporting the head category manager in ensuring the right merchandise are purchased from vendors at the right time, the right styles, the right color mix, the needed quantities for the right size range.
• Responsible for supporting the head category manager in executing and engaging local production unit on production plan and contribution to buying mix (Local vs Imported) plan
• Responsible for dealing with Finance and accounting teams to ensure excellent suppliers payment system, minimization of merchandising logistics cost and better merchandising buying accounting information system.  
• Responsible for supporting the head category manager in ensuring IT support teams implement automated buying processes and reporting system.

 2. Execution of Merchandising Buying plans

• Work with the supply chain team in developing merchandising buying calendar or range plans for each product department such as boys, girls, footwear, and accessories.
• Responsible for providing buying trip calendar and vendor information details.
• Participate actively in buying planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Attend meetings with production unit team in planning supply capacity and schedules.
• Responsible for communicating merchandising buying calendar or range plans delivery targets for each product department such as boys, girls, footwear, and accessories to internal stakeholders.
• Global research on new and existing fashion trends for kids

3. Execution of Merchandising Supplier Sourcing plans

• Responsible for executing merchandising supply sourcing strategy for each product department such as boys, girls, footwear, and accessories.
• Responsible for sourcing new merchandising suppliers with better price, discount agreement, quality and meet quantity specifications.
• Responsible for managing merchandising supplier’s relationship via visitation, telephone and email engagement.
• Responsible for merchandising vendor documentation and contract terms and conditions agreement.
• Attend trade fairs and exhibitions overseas, to select and assemble a new collection of products and presenting new ranges to retail team.

5. Merchandising Buying Cost Management  

• Responsible for negotiating vendors cost and terms to ensure better cost for high quality.
• Responsible for negotiating merchandising logistics cost and ensure cost efficient and effective delivery options.
• Review, update, create and manage automated merchandise detail, buying cost, analytical and reporting system.

6. Merchandising Buying Logistics Management

• Sourcing, engaging, and managing merchandising import logistics vendors with better services.
• Plan the best delivery options (air or ship) for importing merchandise.
• Responsible for managing merchandise logistics vendor relationship.

 7. Merchandise Creation on the organization Enterprise Resource Planning

Responsible for training the buying team on buying data analytics and the use of ERP for data creation.
8. Merchandise Styling Looks Compliance

Responsible creating merchandise complete look line sheet before placing orders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• A first degree in any related discipline.
• Supply chain certification will be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in procuring/ buying in the fashion industry would be an added advantage.
• Knowledgeable in procuring/buying a wide product range
• Knowledgeable in managing procuring/ buying logistics from international market to Nigeria
• Knowledgeable in managing and maintaining relationship with foreign suppliers
• Knowledgeable in data analysis and reporting
• Knowledge of sourcing from International fashion market
• Proficient with the use of Microsoft office
• Odoo ERP knowledge would be an added advantage
• Knowledgeable in managing wide product range
• Good interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal)
• Ability to pay attention to details
• Good organizing, planning and prioritizing skills
• Excellent Numerical and Analytical Capability
