Job Summary

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to support our procurement team in managing the sourcing and purchasing of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement management principles, including familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations, and will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient supply chain operations. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the procurement process by preparing purchase orders and managing supplier communications.
• Support the sourcing of materials and services in alignment with company needs and budgetary constraints.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including supplier performance and pricing information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in materials management to optimize stock levels.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations throughout the procurement process.
• Utilize SAP and MRP systems for tracking orders, inventory management, and reporting purposes.
• Participate in category management initiatives to enhance procurement strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement management processes and best practices.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations is a plus.
• Experience in materials management or supply chain management is desirable.
• Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess supplier performance and pricing strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal teams.
