    Processing Plant Officer

    Job Description

    • Ensuring that safety and environmental rules and programs are strictly adhered to.
    • Conceptualizing and recommending plant improvement strategies.
    • Carrying out site inspections and audits.
    • Performing preventative and maintenance measures.
    • Observing gauges, dials, switches, and alarms, and other indicators to ensure that all machines are working properly.
    • Training new hires and cross-training other staff members.
    • Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools used in the performance of assigned duties.
    • Prepare reports, forms, correspondence, and related documentation regarding assigned operations in a complete, accurate and timely manner.
    • Adhere to safety orders and comply with established regulations in all aspects of work.
    • Keep adequate records for spares and consumables.
    • Take inventory of working tools weekly to ensure that it matches the original tool list provided.
    • Assist to ensure safety precautions are observed and personal protection equipment’s are worn during operation, repairs, or scheduled maintenance.
    • Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.
    • Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns.
    • Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records.
    • Monitoring the availability of parts
    • Maintaining a tidy work environment and adhering to industry regulations.
    • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree / HND qualifications with 1-3 years work experience.
