Job Description

• The Process Manager should execute the approved plan to meet the production volume, quality, and safety standards for Hazardous plant.
• Coordination with maintenance department to execute Preventive maintenance plan and minimize the process break downs.
• Coordination with Safety Manager for all regarding safety involving production and maintenance issues.
• Follow General Manager instructions for improvement/modification follow up, as well as sharing process variables, issues, recommendations, etc to ensure safe operation.

Key Deliverables

• Follow the instruction given by the General Manager/Plant Manager and ensure its implementation to meet volume and quality targets of oil and mill.
• Organize with shift in charge, details of material intakes in time as per production plan and to monitor oil storage area to ensure oil transfer in time with confirmation of correct quantity and quality.
• Ensure all the daily and monthly reports for production, consumptions of utilities as well as for maintenance down time will be ready in time for submission to the Plant Manager.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Manager to execute all preventive maintenance plans and spare parts procurement.
• Monitor daily maintenance report and coordinate with Maintenance to ensure optimum performance and minimize plant downtime.
• Ensure the plant safety and process continuation during any project execution or any process improvement activities.

Strategic Effectiveness

• Managing the Nigeria’s one of the largest oil seed crushing plants, larger than most of the plants in Africa, Europe and Asia, with production capacity of 1,000MT/day of Soybean and one of the most advance technology available today.
• The extraction plant process uses hexane, which is a very hazardous substance and accidents can cause intoxication (high neurotoxicity) or a large explosion jeopardizing the operation, personnel, and the business.
• High pressure steam management.
• Combustible management
• It is an automated Plant with an employee strength of approximately 150 on roll and off roll employees

Requirements

• Engineering degree preferably Chemical/Mechanical.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil seed plant.
• 10 years Plant Operational and Management experience at the supervisory level, PLC/ SCADA understanding, and strong computer and reporting skills required.
