Principal Banker (Investment) at Robert Walters

Job Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead and manage all stages of investment projects, from origination to monitoring, including due diligence, financial structuring, legal negotiations, and execution.
• Portfolio Monitoring: Supervise and monitor existing investments, ensuring strong performance, risk management, and issue resolution.
• Business Development: Source new investment opportunities, build relationships with clients and stakeholders, and ensure a healthy project pipeline.
• Policy Engagement: Support or lead policy dialogue efforts that support the investment climate and align with the clients priorities.
• Team Leadership: Supervise junior bankers, support recruitment and training, and help build a high-performing local office team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in the areas of expertise.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA desirable.
• Strong quantitative/numerical skills are critical with the ability to interpret financial information and to design and use financial models
• Significant relevant financial industry experience from a development finance institution, an investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or international auditing/financial consulting firm.
• Practical experience of participating in and leading complex transactions through the full project life cycle.
