The role holder is responsible for supporting the development, design, and enhancement of new and existing capital market products, ensuring alignment with market demand, regulatory guidelines, and the company's strategic objectives.
In order to be successful in this role, you will have to demonstrate innovative skills, analytical competence, as well as have a deep interest and understanding of the capital markets and the investment landscape, both domestic and foreign
Responsibilities
General
Develop framework and guidelines for listing products on the Exchange
Product origination and structuring of commodity linked products
Perform detailed market research to recognize opportunities, emerging trends, and customer preferences in the capital market.
Ensure all products adhere to capital market regulations and standards.
Coordinate with sales, marketing, operations, and IT teams for product promotion and integration.
Engage with external stakeholders, including technology providers, exchanges, and regulatory bodies.
Design and oversee pilot testing phases for new products.
Maintain detailed documentation of product specifications, operational processes, and guidelines.
Support in developing product marketing materials and training resources.
Track and evaluate the performance of launched products, using metrics to identify areas for improvement or modification.
Stay updated on technological advancements, market trends, and regulatory changes that could influence product strategies.
Participate in capacity building endeavours for capital market stakeholders.
Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.
Trainings
Develop relevant training materials on the commodities market for dissemination to market participants
Coordinating and conducting training on trends in the commodities market to clients and market actors
Conduct webinars and other fora for engaging stakeholders on the commodities market.
Other duties
Participate in ad-hoc projects and perform other activities as may be assigned.
Embark on trips within and outside Nigeria where necessary
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related fields.
Advanced understanding of investment products and strategies including mutual funds,
ETF’s and alternative investments.
Prior experience in product development, capital markets, or a related area.
Solid understanding of capital market dynamics, products, and regulations.
Proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis.
Awareness of industry trends, technology, and developments
Knowledge of Global capital markets.
Superior presentation and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional active listening and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt to fast-paced, changing market conditions
