    Preschool Coordinator

    Position Overview:

    The Preschool Coordinator serves as the educational leader and administrative head of a preschool, responsible for overseeing the daily operations, implementing educational programs, and creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. The Preschool Coordinator works closely with teachers, staff, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth functioning of the preschool. and the delivery of high-quality education and care to students.

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Administration

    • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to the preschool, ensuring alignment with educational goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain an effective and efficient preschool operation.
    • Manage and supervise preschool staff, including teachers, support staff, and administrative personnel.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings, professional development sessions, and performance evaluations to support continuous improvement.
    • Collaborate with parents, community organizations, and other stakeholders to foster positive relationships and partnerships.

    Curriculum Development and Implementation

    • Design, implement, and evaluate a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the holistic growth and development of
    • young children.
    • Ensure curriculum alignment with relevant educational standards, guidelines, and best practices.
    • Support teachers in planning and implementing engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
    • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the curriculum, making adjustments as needed to meet the evolving needs of students.

    Student Development and Support

    • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that promotes the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each
    • child.
    • Implement strategies and programs to support the individual needs of students, including those with special needs or diverse
    • backgrounds.
    • Oversee student assessment and progress tracking processes to ensure appropriate developmental milestones are met.
    • Foster a positive and respectful atmosphere among students, promoting values such as empathy, respect, and cultural understanding.

    Parent and Community Engagement

    • Establish effective communication channels with parents to provide regular updates on student progress, school events, and policies.
    • Organize and conduct parent-teacher conferences, workshops, and orientation programs to promote parental involvement and
    • support.
    • Collaborate with community organizations, agencies, and other schools to enhance resources and opportunities for preschool students
    • and families.

    Financial and Resource Management

    • Develop and manage the preschool budget, ensuring _financial resources are allocated appropriately to support educational programs.

    • Identify and secure additional funding sources, grants, or sponsorships to enhance the preschool's resources.
    • Oversee the procurement of instructional materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for effective teaching and learning.
    • Ensure compliance with _financial, legal, and regulatory requirements related to the operation of the preschool.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • A bachelor's or master's degree in early childhood education or a related field
    • Min of 5+ years cognate experience in early childhood education, including instructional leadership and administration.
    • Knowledge of child development principles, curriculum design, and best practices in early childhood education.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff, parents, and the community.
    • Familiarity with local and national educational standards and regulations for preschools.
    • Ability to analyze data, evaluate programs, and make data-driven decisions to support student learning and growth.
    • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently.
    • Proficiency in using educational technology and software relevant to preschool operations.
    • Knowledge of and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
