Power Plant Team Lead at GZ Industries

• To ensure the continuous and uninterrupted generation of power by GZl's Diesel and LPG generator plants

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensures efficient and uninterrupted power generation for GZl's consumption.
• Minimises production wastages by ensuring there are no power failures.
• Perform routine checks and investigations on the generators.
• Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs the generators.
• Ensure the generator plants are run at optimum performance.
• Maintain 0% downtime of the generators.
• Monitors GZl's Diesel and LPG consumption. Ensures Diesel and LPG levels are checked on an hourly basis.
• Troubleshoots and repairs faults and defects on the hot water line, chiller, cooling tower fans, and water pumps.
• Services Gas Engine and Diesel Engine Generators. This includes draining and changing engine oil, changing oil filters, changing and cleaning air filters, etc.
• Receives LPG and Diesel from suppliers.
• Monitors and records Engine parameter values.
• Supervises Power Plant Technicians and ensures the quality of work meets performance expectations.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to the Power Plant Technicians to ensure effective workflow.
• Reviews/inspects work carried out by subordinates.
• Documents, implements and maintains the requirements Of the Quality, Food Safety,
• Environment, Health and Safety management Systems.

Required Education/ Qualification

• Minimum Of a First Degree or HND in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline 
• Advanced skills (Journeyman / Trade Certificate level) required in one Or more Of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, plumbing, carpentry, piping systems
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant work experience, 3 of which must be in a similar role within the manufacturing industry 
• Demonstrable experience in carrying out electrical maintenance
