    Point of Sales Support Technician

    Location: Lagos Island, Lagos

    Role Summary

    • We seek to employ a passion driven and detail-oriented POS IT support technician
    • You will be required to assist any venue having trouble resolving technical issues with the POS software as well as helping with any IT related needs for the organisation
    • Successful Candidate will also assist when necessary with any POS software setups for new venue installations and any other IT job as may be required.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Act as the POS support liaison between Corporate, POS Vendor and venue locations
    • Provide onsite and remote support for POS including training of customers, configuration, monitoring and customization
    • Assist in both Root cause and Trend analysis, all while providing venue systems POS support.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving POS Hardware and software issues onsite and offsite
    • Provide assistance in installation, relocation and re-installation of equipment for the office when required.
    • Develop and improve documentation to support problem analysis and resolution.
    • Increase POS transaction count and volume by constantly engaging RMs on active/inactive terminals and visiting low performing merchants
    • Ensure timely deployment of POS terminals across assigned region and training of relationship managers on POS 1st line support issues

    Qualifications

    • OND qualification
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience in a help desk or POS role
    • Experience maintaining POS systems
    • Must be willing and able to ride a bike.
    • A valid riding license and excellent knowledge of highway code is a MUST
    • Experience troubleshooting hardware/software products
    • Experience with networking concepts
    • Excellent communication skill and desire to grow is required
    • Must be customer friendly as candidate will be a point of contact for customers
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills and great team player.
    • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of self-initiative.
    • Must be able to accommodate a flexible work schedule.
