Plant Electrical Technicians at Proten

Roles:

• Execution of maintenance activities for individual operations of plants.
• Upkeep of Equipment
• Services support for Mechanical, electrical and instrument and other services functions.

Responsibilities:

• Execution of routine maintenance, LLF & PM activities in the plant. Ensure that the jobs SMPs/SOPs/Check sheets and Formats and Check Lists are followed.
• Maintaining records in log books and in ICMS where applicable
• Co-ordination with operations and other service departments.
• Proper action against problems faced in silent hours.
• Proper follow up for the work permit & its records
• Report failure of equipments to superior and its proper analysis.
• Execution of LOTO.

Functional Authorities:

• Prioritize the job as per operation requirement
• Follow systems as per Plant Engineer/IMS/Safety guidelines
• Maintain documentation & records as per Plant engineer/Engineer guide lines
• Preparation for audit and to meet compliance with audit findings / recommendations
• Authorized to receive all types of work permit.

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: Electrical Certificate course or Diploma
• Experience: 2 to 8 Years based on grade in similar field.

Job Knowledge:

• Knowledge of various reliability processes – PM / CM / LLF etc
• Knowledge of diagrams and electrical drawings
• Knowledge of cabling and terminations
• Knowledge of power supplies and working voltages
• Knowledge of de-assembly and assembly of motors
• Knowledge of equipments and trouble shooting
• Knowledge of work permits system.
• Knowledge of LOTO System.
• Knowledge in Company Policies HSEF, QMS, Onsite Emergency Plans and other Common Policies.
• Knowledge of commonly used and special tools and meters
• Knowledge of commonly used materials for motors/transformers/control panels/ Switchgears and various equipment spare parts.
• Knowledge of different types of bearings & their application criteria.

Job specific skills:

• Good in Writing and speaking English Language
• Capable of working with minimal supervision
• Skill for good trouble shooting employing logical approach.
