Pipeline Engineer (Pipeline and Terminal Facilities) at Hedgestone Nigeria

Responsibilities

• Verify pipeline routing and geotechnical consideration, and approve wall thickness calculations and material specifications
• Validate crossing designs and review stress analysis reports
• Approve welding and field joint coating specifications and verify cathodic protection system/FOCC design.
• Review pipe mill test certificates and coating specifications and validate material traceability systems.
• Monitor pipe laying and welding operations, and verify non-destructive testing procedures
• Approve hydrostatic testing procedures and validate final pipeline alignment sheets
• Review pipeline integrity management system
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME and NMDPRA standards and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
• Shall verify non-destructive testing procedures, review O&M manuals for process systems and document process engineering best practices

Job Requirements

• BSc/BEng in Mechanical/Chemical/Pipeline Engineering
• 10+ years pipeline engineering
• 3+ major pipeline projects 
• Nigerian onshore project experience
• COREN registration (preferred)
• Process Safety Management certification
• Nigerian content compliance experience
• API 1169 (Pipeline Construction) and NACE CP Level 2 (cathodic protection)
• AWS/CWI (welding inspection)
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Knowledge of Nigerian oil/gas regulations
