Role:

As a Physiotherapist at eDokita, you will be responsible for assessing and treating of patients with physical impairments caused by injury, illness, disability, or aging, using a variety of techniques like manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and electrotherapy to help patients regain movement, manage pain, and improve their overall function and quality of life. To also educate patients on how to prevent future injuries and maintain their health through proper movement patterns and exercise routines

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical needs and goals
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address patients\' needs and goals
• Provide hands-on physiotherapy interventions, including exercises, manual therapy, and education
• Monitor patients\' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s or Master\'s Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution
• Registration with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria (MRTB)
• At least 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting
• Strong knowledge of physiotherapy principles, practices, and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Compassion, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough physical evaluations to diagnose the cause of a patient\'s movement limitations and pain. 
• Designing personalized treatment plans based on the patient\'s needs, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, modalities like heat or ice, and electrotherapy. 
• Teaching patients about their condition, proper body mechanics, and exercises to manage pain and improve function at home. 
• Utilizing techniques to reduce pain and discomfort associated with injuries or conditions 
• Helping patients regain their ability to perform daily activities like walking, dressing, and bathing 
• Communicating with doctors, nurses, and other specialists to coordinate patient care 

Specialization areas can include:

• Sports physiotherapy: Treating athletic injuries 
• Pediatric physiotherapy: Working with children with developmental delays or physical disabilities 
• Neurological physiotherapy: Managing movement disorders related to conditions like stroke or multiple sclerosis 
• Orthopaedic physiotherapy: Treating musculoskeletal conditions like back pain, arthritis, and joint injuries 

Tentative Work Hours:

• Morning shift 8am - 5pm. 
• Afternoon shift: 2pm - 10pm/ 5pm - 1am. 
• Night shift: 10pm - 4am.
