Physics Teacher at Roseville Schools

Job Description:

Roseville Secondary School, Enugu, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Physics Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will teach students in JSS and SSS classes, prepare them for WAEC, NECO, and JAMB examinations, and cultivate a strong understanding and appreciation of physics.

Responsibilities:

• Teach physics to Junior and Senior Secondary School (JSS and SSS) students.
• Design and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the Nigerian curriculum.
• Conduct practical experiments and demonstrations to reinforce theoretical concepts.
• Prepare students effectively for external examinations, including WAEC, NECO, and JAMB.
• Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a passion for scientific inquiry.
• Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school activities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Education, or a related discipline.
• Teaching certification (TRCN or PGDE is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the secondary school level.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Nigerian physics curriculum.
• Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
