    Pharmacologist

    Job Description:

    As a Pharmacologist, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, maintaining accurate records, and providing exceptional customer service in our pharmacy and supermarket settings.

    Job Functions/Responsibilities

    • Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, following all legal requirements and ethical guidelines.
    • Provide counseling to patients on the proper use of medications, including dosage instructions, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
    • Monitor medication therapy outcomes and collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care.
    • Conduct medication reviews and identify opportunities for medication therapy management interventions.
    • Maintain inventory control and ensure adequate stock levels of medications and pharmaceutical supplies in both pharmacy and supermarket settings.
    • Verify order entries, maintain records of controlled substances, and remove expired or damaged drugs from the pharmacy's inventory.
    • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by adhering to applicable legal rules, regulations, and procedures governing pharmaceutical practice.
    • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the smooth operation of the pharmacy.
    • Work 4 times a week.

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Pharmacology or related field.
    • 2 - 4 years of experience in community pharmacy practice.
    • Proven experience in community pharmacy.
    • Experience in community pharmacy practice and proximity to location is an added advantage.
    • Must be ready to resume immediately.
