    Pharmacist

    Role Description

    • The Pharmacist is a full-time, on-site role based in Ikeja, responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and compliant dispensing of medications.
    • Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting prescriptions, verifying dosages, preparing and dispensing medications, and providing clear counseling to patients on proper use, side effects, and interactions.
    • The role involves maintaining accurate patient and inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
    • The Pharmacist collaborates with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient therapy, supports medication therapy management, and participates in quality improvement initiatives.
    • The role also includes guiding pharmacy support staff, promoting patient safety, and contributing to a customer-focused, respectful care environment.

    Qualifications

    • Strong clinical pharmacy skills, including prescription review, drug utilization evaluation, and medication therapy management.
    • Knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical care best practices.
    • Proficiency in pharmacy operations such as dispensing, inventory management, and documentation using pharmacy software systems.
    • Excellent patient counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse patients and healthcare partners.
    • Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a high-volume, on-site pharmacy setting.
    • Commitment to ethical practice, regulatory compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
    • Minimum of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution.
    • Current pharmacist license/registration in good standing with relevant regulatory authorities.
    • Previous experience in community or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
    • Willingness to work full time on-site in Ikeja, including evenings or weekends as required.
