Role Description

• The Pharmacist will work full time on-site at Tonia Pharmacy Ltd. in Abuja, providing professional pharmaceutical care and medication counseling to clients. Daily responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions accurately, reviewing medication orders for safety and efficacy, and advising patients on proper drug use, side effects, and interactions.
• The role involves maintaining up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory and ethical standards, and overseeing inventory management, including stock rotation and expiry checks.
• The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals, support health promotion initiatives, and contribute to continuous quality improvement of pharmacy services.

Qualifications

• Valid Pharmacist license and registration with relevant regulatory bodies; Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) from an accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and pharmaceutical care principles.
• Proficiency in prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient education with attention to safety and accuracy.
• Ability to maintain proper documentation, manage inventory, and use pharmacy or health information systems effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused approach and respect for diverse backgrounds.
• Strong ethical standards, attention to detail, and commitment to regulatory compliance and professional best practices.
• Ability to work in a busy on-site environment, manage time effectively, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
• Previous experience in community or hospital pharmacy is an advantage; willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
