Pharmacist at Edo Specialist Hospital

• Dispense drugs prescribed by physicians.
• Provide information to patients about medications and their use.
• Advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions and side effects of medications.
• Organize the pharmacy in an efficient manner to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Order and purchase pharmaceutical supplies, medical supplies, or drugs.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and inventory of drugs.
• Ensure safe storage and proper handling of all drugs, supplies and consumables.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies or equipment.
• Compound certain drug preparations for the safe use of patients
• Ensure that all drugs dispensed are accurately recorded for proper billing.
• Prepare and continually update Drug formulary for the hospital
• Liaise with other medical staff on problems patients may experience when taking their medication.
• Attend carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and professionally offer information and advice.
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using correct dosages and material for each individual patient.
• Keep records of patient history and of all activities regarding heavy medication.
• Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures
• Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Candidates should possess a B.Pharm qualification.
• 2 - 5 years work experience.

Salary
N100,000 - N130,000 monthly
