The PET Injection Moulding Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring injection moulding equipment used in the production of PET preforms and containers. The role ensures compliance with quality, safety, and production efficiency standards while maintaining optimal machine performance.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and adjust machine parameters, including temperature, injection pressure, cycle times, and cooling times.
Monitor PET drying and dehumidification systems to ensure proper material conditioning and moisture control.
Conduct visual and dimensional quality inspections to identify defects such as flash, bubbles, short shots, incomplete filling, and transparency variations.
Perform routine mould cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting, escalating issues to Maintenance when required.
Support mould changeovers and production line setups.
Maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, and operational checklists.
Ensure compliance with GMP, safety procedures, and 5S workplace standards.
Requirements
Experience operating PET injection moulding machines and related auxiliary equipment.
Strong understanding of PET processing, drying requirements, and dew point control.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and product specifications.
Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and precision scales.
Knowledge of LOTO procedures, quality control standards, and safe manufacturing practices
Working Conditions
Industrial manufacturing environment with moderate heat and noise levels.
Ability to stand for extended periods and handle production materials when required.
Willingness to work rotating shifts to support continuous operations.
