Paper Bag Making Machine Operator at The Paper Packaging Company

• The ideal candidate has hands-on experience operating automatic/semi-automatic paper bag machines and a strong eye for quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and monitor paper bag making machines for daily production runs
• Adjust machine settings (paper feed, gluing, folding, cutting) to match job specifications
• Monitor bag quality throughout the run — checking seams, folds, glue bonds, and dimensions Identify and correct machine faults quickly to minimize downtime and waste Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance
• Maintain accurate production records (run counts, waste, downtime)
• Ensure finished bags meet count accuracy and quality standards before packing
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating paper bag making machines (automatic or semi-automatic)
• Understanding of kraft paper and FBB material handling
• Technically inclined, able to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues
• Attention to detail with a focus on reducing waste and reprints
• Ability to read job specs and work to production targets Prior experience in a packaging/converting environment preferred
• Willingness to work shifts as required
