Job Summary

• We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join our automobile manufacturing team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing, reshaping, fabricating, and fitting vehicle body panels and structural components to meet quality, safety, and production standards.
• The ideal candidate must possess excellent metalworking skills and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

• Repair damaged vehicle body panels, frames, and structural components.
• Remove dents, straighten bent panels, and restore vehicle bodies to required specifications.
• Cut, shape, weld, and fit replacement panels and body parts where necessary.
• Operate panel beating tools, welding equipment, hydraulic jacks, and other body repair machinery.
• Interpret engineering drawings, repair specifications, and work instructions.
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Collaborate with Welders, Painters, Quality Control Officers, and Production teams to achieve production targets.
• Conduct measurements and align vehicle body components accurately.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Adhere to workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in prototype fabrication and vehicle body modification projects when required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Candidates should possess an SSCE/WAEC, NABTEB, Trade Test Certificate, Technical College Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Panel Beating, Metal Fabrication, Welding, Automotive Body Repair, or a related field.
• Must have 2–5 years' relevant experience as a Panel Beater in an automobile manufacturing company, vehicle assembly plant, or automotive repair workshop.
• Proficiency in the use of panel beating tools, welding equipment, and body repair machinery.
• Good knowledge of vehicle body structures, fabrication, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Good problem-solving and teamwork skills.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing will be an added advantage.
