Optician at Soteria Eye Clinic

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by optometrists or ophthalmologists
• Accurately fix, edge, fit, and mount lenses into frames
• Carry out lens glazing, adjustment, and alignment to ensure visual comfort
• Assist patients in selecting suitable frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle needs
• Inspect finished eyewear for accuracy, quality, and defects
• Repair, adjust, and maintain spectacles as required
• Ensure proper handling and care of optical tools and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional optical workspace
• Provide excellent customer service and patient support

Requirements:

• Prior hands-on experience in fixing, glazing, and mounting lenses is mandatory
• Proven experience working as an optician or in an optical workshop/clinic
• Good knowledge of different lens types (single vision, bifocal, progressive, etc.)
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail and precision
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to relocate (accommodation provided)
