About Our Client:

Role Summary:

As an Optician you will be responsible for providing vision care services, including dispensing eyeglasses and contact lenses, conducting vision screenings, and assisting patients in selecting eyewear.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct vision screenings and perform diagnostic tests, such as visual acuity tests and refractions, to assess patients’ vision and eye health.
• Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear, including eyeglasses and contact lenses, based on their visual needs, prescription requirements, and lifestyle preferences.
• Take accurate measurements and fittings for eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure proper fit and alignment.
• Educate patients about proper eyewear care, usage, and maintenance, including cleaning, storage, and replacement schedules.
• Process orders for eyewear, including verifying prescriptions, selecting frames and lenses, and coordinating with optical labs for fabrication and delivery.
• Provide adjustments, repairs, and follow-up services for eyewear to ensure patient satisfaction and comfort.

Requirements:

• Diploma or certificate in Opticianry or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Valid license or certification as an Optician in Nigeria.
• Strong knowledge of optical principles, lens types, and frame styles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to use optical tools and equipment effectively and accurately.
