Operations Support Coordinator at West African Exploration and Production (WAEP)

Role Purpose

Coordinate operational support activities across offshore and onshore operations to ensure effective planning, resource readiness, logistics coordination, documentation, reporting and cross-functional alignment for safe, reliable and efficient delivery of production and field activities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timely delivery of operational support requirements. Operational readiness and activity schedule adherence.
• Timely closure of operational actions and constraints. Accuracy and completeness of operational reports and documentation.

• Compliance with HSE and operational procedures.
• Reduction in delays attributable to support or coordination gaps.
• Internal stakeholder satisfaction with operations support.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operational support requirements across production, maintenance, logistics, marine, wells and other relevant functions.
• Develop and maintain operational plans, look-ahead schedules, action trackers and readiness status reports.
• Coordinate personnel, materials, equipment, vessels, transport and other logistics requirements for planned field and offshore activities.
• Monitor operational priorities, constraints and outstanding actions and escalate potential delays or conflicts for timely resolution.
• Support shutdowns, maintenance campaigns, well activities, project interfaces and other operational programmes through integrated readiness coordination.
• Coordinate meetings, daily/weekly operations reviews and follow-up of agreed actions with responsible stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate operational records, activity reports, dashboards, handover information and supporting documentation.
• Support preparation and tracking of operational work programmes, budgets, purchase/service requirements and cost information.
• Interface with contractors, vendors, shore-base teams and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of operational support services.
• Support compliance with HSE requirements, Permit to Work interfaces, SIMOPS controls, operational procedures and emergency-response arrangements.
• Track operational performance indicators, identify recurring constraints and support continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective communication and information flow between offshore/onshore teams and relevant corporate functions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree/HND in Engineering, Operations Managemen Logistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8-12 years' relevant experience in operations suppor coordination or related functions, preferably within upstream oil an gas.
• Practical exposure to offshore/onshore production operation logistics, maintenance, marine or wells interfaces is strong preferred.
• Relevant project management, operations, logistics or HSE professional certification is an added advantage
