Operations Geologist at Scruples Resources

MAIN FUNCTIONS

• Support HSE aspects of subsurface geological operations.
• Monitor pore pressure, fracture pressure, and temperature data during drilling.
• Provide real-time geological operations monitoring.
• Ensure the security and integrity of well data acquisition.
• Participate in well planning and preparation processes (3W and WSOR).
• Follow up on well operations and interpret geological data.
• Conduct post-well studies and manage geological archives and data storage.
• Act as the primary operational interface between Subsurface, Asset, Operations, and HSE teams.
• Participate in technical workshops and official meetings related to well operations.
• Contribute to well optimization initiatives and cost reduction efforts.
• Promote knowledge sharing across the region.
• Coordinate with data acquisition service providers.
• Build effective relationships with local contractors, authorities, and industry stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and operational requirements.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Geology.
• 10-12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
• Good understanding of Exploration (EXPLO) and Exploration & Production (EP) processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (mandatory).
• French and Dutch are highly desirable.
• Comprehensive knowledge of well operations in: Deepwater, Shallow water, Onshore environments
• At least 5 years of subsurface operations experience in roles such as: Wellsite Geologist (WSG), Operations Geologist, Head of Subsurface, Petrophysical Analysis Specialist
