Operational Geologist at Scruples Resources

Key Responsibilities

• Support HSE and subsurface geological operations.
• Monitor pore pressure, fracture pressure, and temperature data during drilling.
• Provide real-time geological operations monitoring and interpretation.
• Ensure the security and integrity of well data acquisition.
• Participate in well planning and preparation, including 3W and WSOR processes.
• Follow up on well operations and conduct post-well geological studies.
• Manage geological archives, data storage, and data acquisition service providers.
• Coordinate effectively with Subsurface, Asset, Operations, and HSE teams.
• Participate in technical workshops and well operations meetings.
• Support well optimization, cost reduction, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Maintain effective relationships with contractors, authorities, and industry stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Honours) in Geology.
• 10–12 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Minimum 5 years of subsurface operations experience in roles such as Wellsite Geologist, Operations Geologist, Head of Subsurface, or Petrophysical Analysis Specialist.
• Comprehensive knowledge of well operations in deepwater, shallow-water, and onshore environments.
• Good understanding of Exploration and Exploration & Production processes.
• Strong ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• French and Dutch language skills are highly desirable.
